Outfit: Back to College

My outfit today is perfect for college going girls. It is simple ,no-fuss and easy to put together.
I am wearing a pair of blue high-waist jeans and a striped knit crop-top. For ladies who commute to college by trains and buses,I would recommend wearing something similar to this outfit,as it is not only easy to carry off,but also look cute at the same time.

A pair of well fitted jeans in 2 shades, couple of basic t-shirts and one or maybe two flannel shirts are few of the basic pieces you should have in your wardrobe. You can easily experiment by mixing and matching, layering outfits and by adding few accessories like scarfs, jewelry or a hat! Thong-sandals, Ballet flats and sneakers are few of the must haves in footwear! You can try simple ballet flats like the one I am wearing in this post. These nude flats are from Tedish. These are fully lined in leather. A perfect combination of comfort and style.

Fashion Jewellery for the Working Women!

As a working woman, the limited option to wear accessories to office has always saddened me. You are forced to stick to boring earrings and simple necklaces, having same old designs. I have always wanted to try something different, something modern and elegant, yet simple, and which is not OTT. But my search for accessories with modern designs yielded no results, due to  lack of Indian brands selling such minimalistic jewellery.

That’s when Kayesha approached me, their designs are crafted for the working women. They have a wide collection of fine jewellery for every day wear. I like how they have focused on minute and delicate detailing, they have used different semi-precious stones and zirconia. You can buy their collection online, presently they are selling on various e-commerce sites.

Now coming to my look today, I have styled this Salmon-colored wide legged pants today. Worn them with a good fitting white top, as white goes well with Salmon Pink! I wore a wine colored lipstick to add a pop of color to my outfit!

Let me know what do you think of this look!

Little White Dress

I like to mix and match Indian wear with Western, and that’s exactly how I have styled today's outfit.

I fell in love with this pretty white summer dress from Shakumbhari, I loved the fabric-the fabric is light weight and the delicate blue thread work makes it more appealing. The first thing that came to my mind when I saw this dress was my Payal. Silver and white go best with each other, and I ended up wearing my silver necklace and payal with this dress- sans footwear! This would be my choice of outfit for a day out at a beach.  Adding Bindi, Jhumkas, Payal,Nath and Bangles with your western outfit are some of the few ways to style Indo-Western style.

And guys do visit Shakumbhari- it is an online website with a wide range of ethnic and westerm wear specially designed for Indian women! Apart from this pretty white dress, I also got to try a white Kurti from their collection, which you can check here.

Monochrome look : Olive Green

I have always been a fan of Monochrome outfits, I feel this style is quite interesting and bold, because you get to mix and match different pieces in the same shade or similar tones. You can play with patterns, cuts, textures and this is what makes it fun!

My outfit today is a top to bottom olive green look, I have kept the look very simple. No heavy layering, no textures or patterns. I have just mixed two shades of olive green- I have paired a well fitted skinnies and a loose shirt. Slicked back middle part hair and a choker necklace completes my look.

College goers – you can try something similar, mix different pieces and tones and you are good to go. Don't shy away from trying a 'top tobottom one color' look.

Ladies, don't be afraid to experiment! Mix and match different textures, shades and shapes and see which one compliments your body. Try top to bottom pastel shades, jewel tones or an all-white ensemble. Combine comfort and style, after all style is all about being comfortable.
